Weekly Wolves
- Updated: October 27, 2013
To no one’s surprise, we’ve got Newberg again in the Wolf Den. This weekend “The Noob” goes for some home cooking with his ‘Phins, taking the points against AFC East rival Patriots who are a bit healthier than in past weeks and at home in Foxboro. Brave choice.
Going solo isn’t anything new to Ms. Stewart either. The reigning Lady Swami is taking the Vikings and the 7.5 against the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau, hoping of course that the rivalry and a healed Christian Ponder can keep it close. She’s done this before. If you’re scratching your heads on why she would go with the Vikings after that Monday night travesty only 6 days ago, I’ll join you in doing so. But hey, Josh Freeman isn’t tossing the egg this weekend–it’s Ponder.
Then there’s me, not often a Lone Wolf–and a bit surprised that everyone took the Giants, who really didn’t look that great getting that first win in the aforementioned Monday Night game against Minnesota. Freeman was like 12-for-89, or something and the Giants needed that fumble inside the 5 to make it look like the one-sided affair it deserved to be. Don’t get me wrong here, I want the Giants to beat the Eagles outright. I hate the Eagles. I just don’t think that 1: I’m lucky enough to have the Eagles drop down another game from Dallas (if Dallas can beat Detroit, that is), and 2: The Eagles will lose their 10th straight home game to a team that looks like, well, the Giants.
So there you have it: Another trio of idiots, er I mean “Brave Souls”. Just watch that Newberg–(that lucky S.O.B.).
Oh, and a personal P.S. to KVan: I thank you for another one of your crisp 5-dollar bills when the Redskins fall by 17 today. Just sayin’.
