Welcome Back Swami Leaguers!

The 2017 NFL & Swami Season is here and reigning champion Mark Newberg as well as last year’s cast and the addition of two players brings the total to 12  players vying for the coveted title of Swami.

The SFL welcomes new player Paul Alexander and welcomes back Swami 2010 Mike Amodeo. Who knows? We just may have another rookie Swami (Holly Stewart, Mike Boracci), or a new Swami altogether.  Just as long as it’s NOT another Newberg year.

Last season was the best to date, with such a close finish between Mark Newberg, Joe Mendes, and Maureen Connor who all tied in the regular season standings.  It took a miracle comeback and the first Super Bowl overtime game to decide the champion. Amazing.  Great seasons from Wayne Connor, Ken Brodsky, and Andy Cressman made it even closer than expected, as it was anyone’s game heading into the playoffs.  We can only hope that we get something like that again this season.
