Smokin’ Jay Rolls His Own

Puff, Puff, Pass. Jay Cutler finds the humor in the “Smokin’ Jay” phenomenon.

Over a year ago, somebody looked at various images of Jay Cutler and thought, “How funny would it be if I photoshopped a cigarette into Jay Cutler’s mouth in all of these photos of him looking totally bored and aloof?” And, as it turned out, it looked pretty damn funny. So funny in fact, that there’s an entire site dedicated to the most apathetic looking athlete in the history of sports. (Even though it’s just his face that makes him seem like that.)

Now, you’d think that Jay C. wouldn’t be too amused by all of this. After all, he’s Jay for christsakes! But, when he made an appearance on Showtime’s Inside the NFL last season, he revealed that he’s not only seen the “Smokin’ Jay Cutler” images, he actually enjoys them, too.

“I know some of those guys,” he said. “I get a kick out of that. They’re pretty creative.”
