Packers Dominate

Aaron Rodgers made sure he’d get the opportunity to play an NFC championship game at home for the first time in his Hall of Fame-caliber career.

Rodgers threw two touchdown passes and also ran for a score as the top-seeded Green Bay Packers defeated the Los Angeles Rams 32-18 in an NFC divisional playoff game Saturday.

Green Bay’s potent offense overpowered the Rams’ vaunted defense for much of the day.

The Packers didn’t allow any sacks despite playing without injured All-Pro left tackle David Bakhtiari. Green Bay sacked Jared Goff four times.

The Packers finished with 484 yards against the league’s top-rated defense while holding the Rams to just 244.

Rodgers threw for 296 yards and the Packers ran the ball 36 times for 188 yards.

“Just really proud of our players, our coaches and just the work we all put in. Our guys went out there and with the mentality that we were going to be physical. I thought that showed that through in all three phases,” said head coach Matt LaFleur.
“I’m just so happy for our guys. Definitely a little emotional just thinking about all that we’ve been through. Got me emotional with the crowd out there today. Just feel happy about everything that happened tonight,” said Rodgers.

Green Bay will host either New Orleans or Tampa Bay next week Sunday at Lambeau.
