The Dallas Cowboys overcame a sluggish first half and rallied for a thrilling 34–30 victory over the Houston Texans on Sunday, turning what looked like a disappointing afternoon into an important road win. Houston controlled much of the opening half, taking a 16–6 lead into halftime behind quarterback C.J. Stroud and the return of wide receiver Nico Collins. Dallas struggled to move the ball consistently, while two missed long field-goal attempts by Brandon Aubrey gave the Texans favorable field position. Collins immediately made an impact in his return from injury, finishing with seven catches for 118 yards and two touchdowns.
The Cowboys completely changed the game’s momentum after halftime. Dak Prescott began finding CeeDee Lamb repeatedly, while running back Javonte Williams powered his way to three rushing touchdowns, all in the second half. Prescott finished with 335 passing yards and leaned heavily on Lamb, who produced a remarkable 17 catches for 189 yards. Dallas eventually took a 27–23 lead early in the fourth quarter, but Houston answered when Woody Marks scored on a six-yard touchdown run with just over two minutes remaining, putting the Texans ahead 30–27.
With the game on the line, Prescott delivered one more clutch drive. He guided Dallas 74 yards in 11 plays, converting a fourth down and connecting with Lamb for the game-winning 12-yard touchdown with just 40 seconds left. Houston had one final opportunity, but Stroud’s desperation passes fell incomplete, sealing the Cowboys’ comeback. The victory moved Dallas to 2–2 and gave the Cowboys a dramatic win in the battle between the two Texas teams, while Houston fell to 0–4.
