Overtime Birds

The Baltimore Ravens rallied from an eight-point deficit in the closing minutes to defeat the Atlanta Falcons 30–23 in overtime on Sunday night, October 11, 2026. Baltimore, playing without injured starting quarterback Lamar Jackson, relied on backup Tyler Huntley to lead the offense. The Ravens got off to a difficult start when tight end Mark Andrews lost a fumble that Falcons safety Jessie Bates III returned 36 yards for a touchdown. Atlanta capitalized on the early momentum, with quarterback Michael Penix Jr. connecting with Kyle Pitts for a five-yard touchdown. Despite moving the ball effectively, Baltimore settled for three Tyler Loop field goals and trailed 14–9 at halftime.

The Falcons maintained their advantage through much of the second half, extending their lead to 23–15 behind field goals from Nick Folk and a steady offensive effort. Baltimore stayed within striking distance thanks to its powerful running game, led by Derrick Henry, who finished with 102 rushing yards and added an 18-yard touchdown reception. Huntley kept the Ravens alive with accurate passing under pressure, while the defense worked to limit Atlanta’s scoring opportunities. With just 40 seconds remaining in regulation, Huntley threw a seven-yard touchdown pass to rookie wide receiver Devontez Walker, and Henry converted the two-point attempt to tie the game at 23–23 and force overtime.

In overtime, Baltimore took control with a 14-play, 68-yard drive that ended with Huntley scoring on a one-yard quarterback sneak to give the Ravens a 30–23 lead. Atlanta’s hopes of responding ended when safety Kyle Hamilton intercepted Tua Tagovailoa, who had replaced the injured Penix late in regulation. The decisive takeaway sealed a dramatic comeback victory for Baltimore, improving the Ravens’ record to 4–1 and keeping them atop the AFC North. For Atlanta, the 2–3 Falcons were left to rue a late collapse after leading for most of the game. Huntley’s clutch performance and Baltimore’s ability to finish under pressure proved to be the difference.
