Epic & Ezekiel

In one of the best games of the season, the Dallas Cowboys outlasted the Pittsburgh Steelers, 35-30. The Cowboys were led, as they have been all season, by their star rookies Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott, who just keep doing incredible things to lead this team to wins.

Prescott finished 22 of 32 for 319 yards and two touchdowns. The first was an 83-yard screen pass to Elliott, the second a 50-yard strike down the sideline to Dez Bryant (playing this game the day after he learned of the death of his father) in the face of heavy pressure. Prescott also led the Cowboys down the field for two touchdowns in the final 10 minutes, the second of which proved the game winner.

As for Elliott, well, there is not much more you can say to describe how good he is. He finished with a career-high 209 total yards in this one, 114 on the ground and 95 in the air. He had three total touchdowns on the day, including the game-winner with nine seconds left.

The Cowboys were matched shot for shot all day by the Steelers, with Ben Roethlisberger firing quick-strike passes all game to Antonio Brown , Le’Veon Bell  Eli Rogers , and Jesse James . Roethlisberger’s third touchdown of the game came on a fade route to Brown following a fake spike, and it undoubtedly would have been the biggest story of the day had he not left Prescott and the Cowboys 42 seconds and three timeouts to drive back down the field. But he did, and they did, and the Cowboys walked away 8-1.
