The Jacksonville Jaguars secured a thrilling 19-17 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, in a wild international matchup at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London.
The game was a back-and-forth defensive and offensive battle from the start. Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence powered the passing game, completing 24 of 39 passes for 331 yards and two touchdowns, both of which were hauled in by wide receiver Parker Washington. The Eagles took a 14-7 lead into halftime following a dramatic goal-line stand orchestrated by linebacker Zack Baun, while Philadelphia’s offense found life through a 62-yard touchdown strike from Jalen Hurts to Darius Cooper.
The final eight seconds of the fourth quarter delivered pure chaos. The Eagles seemingly clinched the game when kicker Jake Elliott nailed a 48-yard field goal to put Philadelphia up 17-16 with only eight seconds remaining on the clock. However, Jaguars returner Ameer Abdullah broke loose on the ensuing kickoff for a massive 53-yard return, leaving just one second left. Stepping up for the final play, Jacksonville kicker Cam Little drilled a career-defining, walk-off 57-yard field goal as time expired to elevate the Jaguars to a 4-1 record.
